We're looking for an enthusiastic and data-driven marketer to help grow our books business. The Marketing Manager will support merchandising of Kindle books, and will play a key role in managing and optimizing campaigns, launching marketing for new releases, and identifying new opportunities based on customer and business data. The role will focus on marketing through owned and operated channels, with an emphasis on email, push notifications, and placements in the Kindle store online and on mobile devices. The right person will be a passionate advocate for books and possess exceptional skills in project management and marketing. The ability to interpret datasets, define performance metrics, diagnose areas of under-performance, and identify growth opportunities is a must. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone

· BA/BS Required · 3+ years of relevant work experience in digital marketing and/or email marketing · Experience with email marketing campaigns · Experience with Excel · Passion for books or experience in the publishing industry · Strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use data to develop and measure campaigns · Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines · Experience writing customer-facing content · Experience using SQL and similar queries to extract and analyze data · Ability to think both strategically and tactically; comfortable doing both
