The Retail and Shopper Insights Research team is looking for a strategic thinker and self-starter to lead our brick-and-mortar insights portfolio and work very closely with our Consumer and Device Sales (CDS) organization. CDS works with ecosystem partners to build, market, and sell devices and services

The ideal candidate will have proven mix of market research and retail marketing experience. This candidate will lead a large-scale, global Store Experience Tracker program: a critical measure of Microsoft's retail marketing activities across consumer lines of business such as Windows, Office, and Surface. In addition, this candidate will lead custom-designed efforts of a related nature. In addition to mastery of primary research methods, the ideal candidate will have experience with advanced analytics, A/B in-market testing, and/or integrating business data (e.g. financial, behavioral). Primary/custom market research experience preferred – ideal candidate will have proven ability to identify business decisions and prescribe appropriate insights to address them Retail industry experience preferred Consumer technology industry experience preferred Excellent communications, storytelling and influencing skills Excellent collaboration skills Experience in communicating and collaborating with senior executives Fluent in a wide array of data types (primary research data, telemetry, social sentiment, lifetime value) Strong project and partner relationship management (including agencies)
