We currently have an open role for a senior research consultant to support Microsoft's Worldwide Sales, Partner and Services organizations. This is one of the more unique roles in CMR because it provides research consulting that touches products, marketing, sales and go-to-market strategies. In this role, the person will be responsible for a portfolio of work in support of our internal Commercial stakeholders. This includes cultivating and managing business partnerships with internal stakeholders; providing clarity on how to frame and think about various types of business problems; designing and conducting research and analyses to inform business decisions (using a variety of data types including survey research, business performance metrics, market trend data, social intelligence, etc.); and socializing and encouraging business partners to take action. Specific responsibilities include:
Desired Competencies : Expert in integrating consumer research and large amounts of internal and external data (quantitative and qualitative) to develop strategic and actionable recommendations Business consulting (Creating clear project goals, solid issue framing, conducting information synthesis, developing recommendations) Strong knowledge of analytic and modeling tools (transactional level, leveraging behavioral and perception data preferred). Strong knowledge of advanced research techniques Ability to synthesize market information, primary research, internal data and financial information
