Amazon.com is looking for a Manager of Vendor Manager to join the Kitchen team. The Kitchen business is one of Amazon.com’s fastest growing and most fun businesses. The Manager of Vendor Management will lead a high performing team and be responsible for driving the top and bottom lines of multiple product categories, building vendor relationships, expanding selection, negotiating vendor terms, planning marketing promotions, and driving better product availability through operational improvements. Maturity, judgment, negotiation skills, influence, and leadership skills are all essential. The Manager of Vendor Management should have experience analyzing new business opportunities and building strong relationships, driving significant top and bottom line results, and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment. · Bachelor’s degree · · 5 years’ senior level experience in retail, operations, and/or business management/consulting with a proven history of delivering results · · Experience successfully coaching and developing others · · Experience negotiating and closing complex business deals · · Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating · · Experience with business analysis and expertise in Excel· MBA with 6+ years relevant business experience · · 5 years’ experience hiring and managing a team · · Track record of results, setting strategy, and running a large volume
