Vendor Manager to
Amazon.com is looking for a Manager of Vendor Manager to join the Pets Team. The Pets business is one of Amazon.com’s fastest growing businesses. Pets is unique because it includes both Pet Supplies and Consumables categories. The Manager of Vendor Management will lead a high performing team and be responsible for driving the top and bottom lines of multiple product categories, building vendor relationships, expanding selection, negotiating vendor terms, planning marketing promotions, and driving better product availability through operational improvements. The Manager of Vendor Management should have experience analyzing new business opportunities and building strong relationships, driving significant top and bottom line results, and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment. This candidate must be highly organized and be able to prioritize effectively. The candidate must also possess strong analytical acumen and be comfortable drawing metric-based
· Bachelor’s degree · 5 years senior level experience in retail, operations, and/or business management/consulting with a proven history of delivering results · 5 years experience hiring and managing a team · Experience with business analysis and expertise in Excel · Experience negotiating and closing complex business deals· MBA with 6+ years’ relevant business experience · Track record of results, setting strategy, and running a large volume and high profile business · Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development · Highly polished communication
