Amazon.ca is looking for a Manager, Vendor Management to join the Media team. This person will be responsible for driving the top and bottom lines of several product lines. The role is responsible for building vendor relationships, expanding vendor and selection addition, managing vendor negotiations, and partnering with the Marketing team to drive the marketing calendar for the year. The role will also partner with the instock management team to drive optimal product availability through operational improvements, and will lead several programs. A successful candidate is an experienced buyer with strong ownership and business acumen. The candidate should have experience managing a category, developing strategy, analyzing new business opportunities and building strong relationships to drive significant top and bottom line results, while being comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also possess strong analytical acumen and be comfortable
· Bachelor’s degree · 5+ years of relevant experience in retail, operations, business management, or consulting with a proven track records of delivering results.· MBA preferred · Excellent business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills · Superior analytical abilities and quantitative skills. Comfortable with complex financial data. · Polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating · High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment start-up like environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go · Ability to operate simultaneously
