The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Region Build Team manages large, fast-paced software projects to launch new AWS regions. The Region Build Team performs technical program management across AWS to design and build new regions as part of the Region Services organization. We are seeking an experienced manager of PRoduct and Program Managers to design and build the next generation of AWS Regions. The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with expertise managing software projects and products. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, is a self-starter, and creative problem solver. The candidate will be familiar with AWS services, have strong process improvement aptitude, and is willing to roll their sleeves up to dig on any project or problem. The candidate will have high standards for themselves and everyone they work with, and will be constantly looking for ways to improve build performance, quality and cost. · 7+ years management experience · 10+ years of experience in technical leadership roles; technical program management, product design, and product development lifecycle from conception to delivery. · 10+ years of project management experience and demonstrated knowledge of program management best practices · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Direct experience managing both agile and waterfall programs; able to tailor programmatic processes to the needs of a project · Comfortable working on multiple programs at once · Prior experience working with AWS technologies/services · Experience
