Would you like to be part of a public policy team focused on increasing adoption of on demand cloud computing services at the state and local government level in the US? Do you have the experience in states and local government necessary to help further advance the public policy agenda of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leading cloud services provider and subsidiary of Amazon.com? We are looking for a talented, innovative, and well-connected individual to represent AWS before state and local policymakers, IT decision makers, and senior government executives, particularly in Western States. You will address risks and opportunities for the business at the state and local level. This position will also leverage AWS’s participation in key trade associations that are critical to advancing AWS’s public policy and business objectives in the state and local government sector. You will become familiar with all aspects of AWS’s state and local business, and interface directly with relevant business

· 5+ years of experience with state lobbying and/or commensurate legislative or executive branch experience or 5+ years of experience representing a large company or association, preferably but not necessarily in the Internet/tech industry, before state and local policymakers, including significant experience on public sector acquisition and procurement policy, preferably in states such as Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. · A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a relevant discipline (Political Science, Public Policy, Engineering, etc.). An advanced degree is preferred
