Stores' HR team Human Resources Leader
As a Human Resources Leader you are used to playing several roles as leader, coach, talent architect and strategist, depending on the business situation in front of you. Being able to recognize market and business changes which allow you to constantly adapt is what our Microsoft Stores HR organization is seeking. The HR Director leads the HR organization supporting ~ 100 stores across North America and two flagship stores internationally. They will provide leadership and partnership to the GM of Physical Stores and be a key leader on the Stores' HR team as well as a member of Microsoft's HR Leadership Forum. Success factors include driving effective and transformational people practices which span the entire employee lifecycle and ensuring people priorities are successfully executed across the business, in partnership with Store Leaders.

Primary responsibilities include: Act as a trusted advisor and partner to Physical Store Leadership (and teams) to shape and inform the future business and organizational models needed to drive growth and thought leadership for a high functioning organization Weigh in on broader business topics as a core leader of the business LT(s). Facilitate org design and capability decisions as we transform and lead change management planning with business leaders. Develop and implement people strategy and plans to acquire, develop and retain the best customer-obsessed talent and build the individual and organizational
Competencies and Capabilities Candidates must have strong HR and business acumen, demonstrated excellence in building and executing HR programs in a dynamic retail/hospitality organization (or other industry with large, hourly populations). This includes experience supporting multiple locations and large hourly workforce populations. Microsoft Human Resources experience may substitute for HR experience with hourly populations. Ability to lead in a highly matrixed, global environment Strong assessor of talent and able to coach for development, with exceptional consultative and facilitation skills
