Do you want to be at the center of Microsoft's digital transformation? An initiative of this size and complexity will have significant impact across Microsoft's functions, business processes and systems. A cross functional program team has formed to transform our launch process. The program will create a virtual team with representation from multiple functions (business planning, engineering, marketing, finance, operations) to rally around a single business roadmap, collect and prioritize business requirements, help launch new offers, and provide appropriate ongoing program management and governance. Operations Finance supports finance processes and compliance across Microsoft, covering product launch, order-to-cash and supply chain processes for the Commercial, Consumer, Online, OEM and Professional Services channels. Operations Finance has a global footprint with teams located in Redmond, Europe and Asia. Our team within the Operations Finance organization has the purpose to design and
Represent the Finance function on the launch program team. Align Finance to the business roadmap, identify Finance requirements and represent Finance in cross-functional program management and governance discussions. Leverage project management best practices to partner with and drive Finance function-specific SMEs, enablement leads, business and launch managers to assess impact, align project plans/timelines, monitor progress, test and signoff launches, and track issues and communicate status. Actively drive communication and participate in the finance readiness rhythm of the business (ROB), to
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. At minimum 9+ years related work experience, including demonstrated success leading small and large, complex finance-related programs, projects, and process improvement efforts. Strong knowledge of financial / billing / reporting systems (experience with Microsoft financial systems and processes is a plus), internal controls, and familiarity with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to effectively influence across all levels and functions, including written communication and group presentations
