Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly qualified Global Trade Compliance and Process Program Manager to drive customs and indirect tax assessment rhythms and analyses. This role will also be responsible for driving and collaborating across various streams including Tax, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Legal to drive rhythms related to preparation for global importation, and maintain processes that continuously raise the bar for compliance review and financial efficiency. The Global Trade Compliance and Process PM will need to identify and lead process improvement initiatives in the import and export compliance space, develop and implement standard operating procedures, and establish cadence for monitoring and ensuring compliance. This position will report directly to the Manager of Global Trade Compliance, within the Global Trade and Product Compliance Organization (GPTC) for AWS in Seattle. AWS is at the forefront of providing a broad set of global cloud-based services

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution · 10+ years of direct experience with import/export compliance · 5+ years’ experience commensurate with extensive knowledge of handling imports and/or exports in accordance with foreign government regulations · 2+ years’ experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements · 2+ years’ experience in leading kaizen and lean process improvements · Master’s Degree is a plus, but not required · US Customs Brokerage License a plus, but not required · Finance and Indirect Taxation experience are highly desirable · Global logistics or supply
