Amazon Web Services has an opening for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead and drive the deployment of ICT based projects, from inception through concept, feasibility, requirements, and deployment, across the globe. The successful candidate will have experience in project managing large-scale, cross-functional, global data center or Infrastructure projects with experiential breadth in construction, procurement, cabling, networking and software deployment. Being able to create cross-functional matrix-based teams, manage capital budgets, eliminate non-value-add activity, evolve processes and solutions and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery is a must. The Edge Delivery TPM will need to work with teams across different countries, time-zones, cultures and local customs. Clear and concise communication in both written and spoken English, appropriately targeted to a variety of stakeholders, is a key to success in this role. This role requires dealing with a lot of ambiguity
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, ICT, Infrastructure or Science based curriculum plus 7+ years of project management experience · 3+ years of program management experience in IT Infrastructure · Experience building or deploying into Colo Data Center including project management of network infrastructure deployment · Must have basic understanding of networks and data center operations · Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management · Experience in management of complex technology infrastructure deployment
