As the China Franchise Business Manager for Minecraft, you will be responsible for growing the core Minecraft business (PC, mobile, console) in China and increasing engagement with the brand in China through close collaboration with our core development partner and our production, marketing, merchandise and community teams. In addition to working closely with our partner and our highly talented Minecraft team, you will also engage with a diverse group of stakeholders across Mojang, Xbox and Microsoft to deliver the consumer gaming experience to one of the largest Minecraft player bases in the world. This role requires strong business acumen, an entrepreneurial attitude, deep analytical skills and a passion for Minecraft

Drive Minecraft franchise growth in China to agreed-upon player acquisition and engagement objectives. Work with our partner and Minecraft BI analysts to build/test/refine customized strategies for a country comprised of diverse regions and player needs that optimizes acquisition, engagement, retention, monetization while closely monitoring brand health. Research, identify and evaluate new business opportunities that delight our players / viewers and align with our global business objectives. Develop business and execution plans for these new initiatives backed by solid market and financial analysis
Execution-oriented leader with a track record of high impact, high quality results 6+ years of China experience in games (highly preferred), entertainment, or retail Demonstrated experience in negotiating successful licensing/publishing agreements with external partners Experience with player funnel management: acquisition, engagement and monetization Experience with marketing campaign executions in partnership with marketing and PR teams High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to analyze/diagnose complex product and business challenges, formulate insights and recommendations, and motivate the
