Amazon's finance team is searching for bar-raising accounting professionals who consistently exceed expectations, who thrive in a challenging workplace, and who can actively contribute to our talented team. This position supports and can directly influence the launches of some of Amazon’s newest global business initiatives in the consumer products, merchant, operations, logistics, and payments lines of business. This leader will work closely with the global financial systems team, accounting operations teams, tax, treasury, and others and represent the accounting organization to various stakeholders. In addition, the program launch manager is a member of the Business Architecture and Data Integration (BADI) team that partners with our operations, technology and business finance groups to reduce manual processes in Amazon's new project launches. This person will also partner to develop strategic solutions to support our
· Bachelors degree required · 7+ years of relevant experience in accounting and project management· Experience working in a fast paced environment similar to a high tech start-up · Working understanding of an Internal control framework and a solid understanding of the concepts of control design and operational efficiency · Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills · Desire to exceed expectations and drive positive change in the organization · Experience of project management and an understanding of project management concepts. · Experience with translating accounting conclusions
