Microsoft's Corporate Accounting organization is looking for a highly motivated, collaborative accounting professional who enjoys working independently and partnering across team to join our Corporate Accounting team. Corporate Accounting focuses on defining policy, implementing accounting guidance, enhancing and consulting on controls and policies, researching GAAP technical accounting questions and analyzing and reporting consolidated financial results. This individual will be focused on partnerships with our controllership teams supporting the evaluation of accounting issues including goodwill impairment, deal review, P and L classification and preparation of the statement of cash flow. In addition, the role will support key revenue recognition projects. This position requires a driven, self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment. Policy and Technical Accounting: Provide accounting guidance and consultation to business partners; lead annual goodwill impairment analysis; GAAP research on unique transactions; documentation of accounting positions; quarterly preparation of the statement of cash flows. Business Partnership: Proactively build relationships and effectively collaborate across Corporate Accounting teams, cross-company finance teams and other stakeholders.
