Project Management team Engineering Program Manager
Amazon is seeking an experienced and detail oriented Engineering Program Manager to support project planning and execution for the continued capacity expansion of the North American Core Fulfilment network. The primary role of this individual in this Project Management team is to drive capacity projects to completion keeping them on schedule. Successful candidates will be natural self-starters with Engineering project management experience working with each phase of the project life cycle including requirements, fulfillment design, planning, execution, and hand off. This individual will work with Capacity Planning to validate project requests, work with Engineering Design to coordinate proposals and milestone schedules, work with Procurement to help release purchase orders, work with field teams to coordinate kick off meetings and any project phasing, and work on mitigating any project risks. This individual needs experience in leading meetings with a variety of technical and non-technical
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business · Experience leading projects and interacting with cross-functional teams · 5-7 years of experience in complex project management and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation · Experience leading large scale programs · Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment · Superior communication skills including proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams · Ability to travel
