Come join the EMC team here at Microsoft! In this role of EMC Test Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Microsoft EMC team responsible by providing EMC compliance testing expertise to deliver EMC compliance on exciting, cutting-edge family of Microsoft products. Primary responsibilities include defining the regulatory EMC compliance test procedures required for each product and coordinating those test efforts in the lab. This includes determining the correct test setup and measurements required, ensuring that the tests are performed correctly, testing the product and completing the necessary paperwork, selecting and maintaining a test lab. Other responsibilities include establishing, implementing, coordinating and executing regulatory EMC test plans throughout the development cycle for a product, tracking the new developments in the regulatory industry with respect to EMC compliance requirements, maintaining documentation and providing input on EMC compliance.

Working productively and seamlessly as a member of a skilled team of compliance professionals Developing test procedures for EMC compliance testing Creating test plans and performing tests as per EMC compliance standards Writing test reports Maintaining an EMC lab (ensuring equipment is running correctly, calibrated, etc.) Developing test software profiles for different tests Tracking the new developments in the regulatory industry with respect to EMC compliance requirements
The ideal candidate should have a BS degree, and 3+ years of high-volume consumer electronics experience as an EMC test engineer. The candidate should have a working knowledge of RF principles, EMC testing and design and EMC regulatory requirements. The candidate should have the ability to develop EMC test plans, analyze EMC compliance test data, write EMC compliance test specifications/procedures and interpret regulatory EMC standards for Information Technology equipment (ITE). Ability to work with ambiguities is a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to seamlessly
