Are you passionate about developing new state-of-the-art measurement approaches at Petabyte scale? Amazon Advertising is one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses, and we are leveraging our unique data, the latest machine learning methods and big data technologies to better understand how advertising influences customer behavior. We are looking for a PHD Economist to develop new methods and systems in the most challenging and data rich areas of marketing. We need an expert in experimental statistics, machine learning or causal inference to design advanced new models with our world class data systems that leverage cutting-edge research. As part of the Measurement and Data Science team, this role will partner with a dedicated engineering team to measure the impact of Amazon's advertising and to identify new opportunities for optimization at scale. · PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field with at least 3+ years of research experience in training and implementing advanced models (machine learning, predictive modeling, and analysis). · 2+ years hands-on experience programming in R, Java, C#, C++ or other similar programming languages · Algorithm and model development experience for large-scale applications· 2+ years of hands-on experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment · Knowledge and practical experience in several of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, deep learning,
