Readiness geopolitical team CELA's Global Readiness
Help Microsoft navigate the world's geopolitical challenges as the leader of CELA's Global Readiness geopolitical team. The Global Readiness team ensures that we communicate with people in languages they understand, market with images that resonate, and deliver content that compels but doesn't offend—all essential to Microsoft's success in local markets. The position includes management responsibility for global readiness team members. The position is based in Redmond, Washington and is part of the Customer Security and Trust group within Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA).
Managing an existing globally readiness program to a high standard of excellence. This includes: Managing processes for assessments of the geopolitical environment; Setting the corporate Global Readiness Policy and related requirements, as well as a process for managing exceptions; Defining what is appropriate for rendering text and images, including maps, flags, emojis, and regional formats in all Microsoft branded products, services and marketing collateral; Ensuring that geopolitical inquiries are appropriately answered within a defined SLA; Tracking and reporting on geopolitical risk trends;
Desired Qualifications: A B.A. degree is required. A graduate degree related to international studies, or language or linguistics is useful but not mandatory. A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant professional experience is required. Some direct experience dealing with the geopolitical environment and policies globally is preferred but not mandatory. Experience as a successful team and people manager. Demonstrated ability to navigate the Company, working with executives and senior leaders. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with Global Readiness Community members in engineering and marketing
