The Critical Environment Commissioning team is responsible for commissioning the datacenter for both built and lease facilities. The Director of Global Commissioning is responsible for the Program Management, Definition, and Execution of Datacenter Commissioning. This position requires the management of a very effective team of regional commissioning managers responsible for the daily oversight and management of commissioning projects. This role represents the interests of Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) during the Acceptance phase of the project life cycle for all facilities along with oversight of the Commissioning Agent (CxA) relationships across multiple projects and global geographies.

The primary responsibilities for this position include the commissioning of all projects from conception through the turnover to Data Center Operations for builds and leases. This position is fundamentally accountable for the Quality of the Datacenter project as it is being commissioned during the Acceptance phase, through Turnover to the Global Datacenter Operations (GDCO) Team, continually supporting the GDCO Team during the Operational phase. As this person will be responsible for commissioning efforts both domestically and internationally, they must travel and be able to obtain a passport.
Knowledge, experience and skills: Bachelor's Degree in a technical/related field or technical degree with 10 years of related industry experience. 5 years of demonstrated success in managing global organizations in the commissioning of mission critical facilities including Datacenters. 5-10 years of increasing personnel management experience. Preferred, not required: OSHA 10 or higher qualification Project Management Professional (PMP) certification High results orientation and approach towards their work Ability to interact and collaborate with the engineering, procurement, construction and program
