The Cloud Server Infrastructure (CSI) team in the C+AI division is responsible for Hardware Development Engineering and Livesite support for all Servers/Storage deployed across Microsoft's global fleet of datacenters hosting our large scale cloud services such as Azure, Bing, O365, Xbox etc. This Principal PM lead role in the CSI Engineering Team will play a pivotal role in the hardware, software and services development and delivery of key technologies and features that significantly impact the TCO and competitiveness of our major cloud services. This candidate will collaborate with both internal Microsoft services teams and external suppliers (ODMs, CPU, FPGA, SSD, HDD, DRAM, etc) to deliver highly integrated HW+SW solutions that enable breakthrough new scenarios at the global datacenter level for operating our large scale cloud services. Drive strategy and program execution for hardware infrastructure enablement of cutting-edge server technologies that positively impact TCO and customer visible features for our cloud services Collaborate across various C+AI and Microsoft services orgs, various silicon and component suppliers and external standards bodies to enable the foundational components necessary for successful onboarding, deployment and production of new hardware technologies Drive E2E qualification for the fully configured rack-level system deployed in our cloud services, ensuring all necessary functionality in the combined
Good understanding of the systems software stack, including but not limited to – BMC and Component firmware, UEFI, ACPI, Drivers, HW security, Storage and Networking subsystems Credible prior experience with software enabling for new or disruptive hardware technologies Experience with program managing development for large scale cloud services Proven track record of successfully managing complex cross-divisional engineering programs spanning HW/SW domains resulting in delivering fully qualified solutions to market Executive communications and demonstrated impact and visibility at senior leadership
