Global Category Lead - Storage Azure Marketplace is at the center of the next big partner opportunity for Microsoft by enabling customers to find, try and buy enterprise solutions. The Cloud Commercial Communities team in the Cloud and AI (C+AI) group is looking for a high-energy and motivated Category Manager to join the Category Management team and help build and grow the Azure Marketplace by defining the overall recruit and growth strategy for the Storage and Databases. Working in close coordination with engineering, sales, marketing, and business development stakeholders, the Marketplace Category Manager is the "CEO of the category" and is responsible for managing its marketplace business. To this end, the Marketplace Category Manager is responsible for defining growth strategies, engaging with and recruiting top partners, defining use case scenarios, and working across team to develop Go-To-Market initiatives to bring the industry's best solutions to Azure customers.
• Lead, execute, and represent the categories assigned to you across the Azure Marketplace business for internal and external stakeholders • Build the growth strategy for the prioritized categories aligned to engineering, marketing and sales prioritized investments and scenarios • Identify, define, and execute recruit strategies to prioritized ISVs and SIs to onboard into Azure Marketplace and enable their top solutions to be available for Azure customers • Define growth strategies with marketing, sales and partner teams to drive increased sales of top performers in categories through co-marketing
• 7+ years of relevant experience in technical program or product management, partner management, technical business development, or product marketing. • Strong understanding of core cloud computing business and technical fundamentals – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS • Strong experience and domain expertise in key cloud workloads such as compute, data, analytics, security, networking, storage or others • Demonstrated experience working with partners and understanding of partner ecosystem • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify and synthesize complex market dynamics and
