with multi-disciplinary team Visual Studio design
We're looking for an innovative problem solver with strong interaction skills and a desire to design an award-winning suite of software development lifecycle tools. This is an exciting design space; we're working on complex problems, serving sophisticated customers who care deeply about both productivity and ease-of-use. You will be joining a group of very talented user experience specialists working on software development tools and technologies. Responsibilities involve collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to define the product space, user models and product/feature definitions; working with usability engineers to understand user issues and exploring design solutions to meet those needs; providing detailed design specifications; supporting the vision of a consistent "look and feel" in the product suite according to the overall Visual Studio design strategy and synergy with other Microsoft products; and driving excellence in the final visual details of our products.

Strong interaction and prototyping skills required; experience in visual design a plus. Ability to work both independently and in collaborative teams, to communicate design ideas effectively and the ability to generate and drive design ideas. Ability to work within design systems and assess possible design solutions against this criteria. Proficiency in interface design and information architecture, demonstrated in an online portfolio. Proven PC skills with general design and multimedia applications. Experience with programming (such as client-side web scripting, ASP, Visual Basic) a strong plus
