Amazon Web Services is the global leader in cloud services. This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves data and has experience with ML and advanced statistical analysis. In this role, the MAS will conduct innovative research to better understand the growth of customers on the AWS platform, identify trigger points related to compensation to help create effective recommendations, and use predictive models to target customers for specific programs. The MAS will work very closely with Business Analysts, Economists, Program Managers and Research/Data Scientists. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to • Is an expert in ML. Is not satisfied by using a “ML package”, but wants to understand the reason why a model would or would not work for a given data set and business problem • Conducts data analyses with the appropriate statistical approach (regressions, linear and non-linear correlation, entropy, t-test, F-test, etc.) • Identifies the needed data, their underlying structure
• At least MSc. degree in Applied Math, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • 3+ years in Advanced Analytics (AI, Graph Theory, Numerical Analysis, etc.) • Strong mathematical background • Proficient with mathematical programming libraries (R, Matlab, Python) • PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field • Big thinker that can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions and measurable metrics and then execute those plans. • Excellent communications skills including, presenting, editing, and writing
