The Office 365 Security and Compliance team is looking for an experienced, energetic, and hands on Applied and Data Scientist. Our team delivers the Security and Compliance suite for O365 customers. These award-winning technologies provide world class, enterprise quality spam protection, virus protection, content filtering, email encryption, data loss prevention, archiving, eDiscovery, auditing, etc. to 10s of millions of Office365 customers both on premises and in the cloud. This suite goes across the O365 workloads and is a revenue and usage growth engine for the service. Enterprises choose O365 because of our Security and Compliance suite, and Office 365 Information Protection is a high scale mission critical service - for banks, schools, large organizations, and increasingly for small organization. O365 E5 which is critical to the growth of the business is hinged on O365 Information Protection.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about leading and pushing forward cutting-edge research for solving complex problems related to security and compliance scenarios. The role involves: Setting up, running and analyzing results of ML experiments Prototyping new approaches for document categorization and topics analysis using NLP, modern deep learning techniques, unsupervised ML approaches Innovate in the space of building custom ML solution that preserve privacy of data Improving metrics, feedback systems and active learning techniques Working with other scientists and engineers on
Required Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field Analytical, problem solving, programming and debugging skills Understanding core concepts of machine learning (supervised algorithms, accuracy measurement, ROC curves) 2+ years of experience working in software development with any of the following languages: Python, C#, C++, or Java. Effective verbal, visual and written communication skills Preferred Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Experiences in natural language processing and machine learning #O365RED Ability to meet Microsoft, customer
