Amazon is looking for a data engineer to play a key role in building and maintaining a Datawarehouse (DW) for their innovative and technology driven physical store business. If you have any prior experience in building and maintaining a DW end to end, then we need you!!! As a Data Engineer, you will get an exciting opportunity to work on a startup kind of environment and building a DW from the scratch using big data technologies like Amazon AWS to store the financial and operational data. You will be partnering with our finance, product management and engineering team to build data pipelines in a near real time to bring the data into this new database. You will design and implement scalable data orchestration with efficient data modeling using statistical techniques to develop real world business solutions. Your data will be consumed by various teams to perform analysis and deepen their understanding on customer behaviors, better pricing, reduce cost and influence innovation to raise the
· BA/BS degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field · 4-6+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational planning or advanced degree · Solid knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional). · Experience in data modeling and transformation of large scale data sources using SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, EMR, or other Big Data technologies · Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby) ·
