We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our application team! Within Amazon’s Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP and A), we enjoy a unique vantage point into everything happening within Amazon. As part of that, this role would be part of a team that is responsible for Company’s enterprise-wide Financial Planning and Analytics solutions. Do you have solid Data engineering skills, but are eager for an opportunity to gain skills in other aspects of building and maintaining an enterprise-scale analytics system, such as exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS), data lake, data modeling, and master dimension management? In addition to requiring a high level of technical expertise in ETL software, you will work closely with peer financial and business teams to continuously optimize timelines, processes, and system automation. Ideal candidates will have expertise in all phases of the data life-cycle management process and successful experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented
· 5+ years of ETL experience with intermediate to advanced skills . 3+ years of hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets · 2+ years of experience in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Java . Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing · Quick learner with a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. · Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
