The Amazon Exports legal team is looking for a talented attorney to manage cutting-edge international legal work in support of our rapidly expanding cross-border Retail businesses. As part of our team, you will work with the International Exports and Expansion business group to develop new lines of business and innovative ways to move goods across Amazon’s global websites and beyond. You’ll be an integral part of the business teams you support, providing day-to-day legal counsel on a broad range of cross-border commercial, regulatory, and public policy matters. In collaboration with lawyers around the world, you will develop innovative solutions to legal problems and regulatory challenges and help determine our strategies for building businesses that operate in rapidly shifting and ambiguous areas of law. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to
· 6+ years as a practicing attorney, with at least two of those years at a major multinational US or UK law firm · Solid experience managing large commercial transactions or expertise in product and trade compliance · JD or international equivalent and strong academic credentials · Experience analyzing and synthesizing laws across multiple countries · Membership in good standing in at least one state or foreign bar · Strong written and oral communication skills · Flexible work schedule to accommodate international time zones · Occasional international travel may be required· Hands-on project management
