Microsoft Search Advertising - Bing Ads Monetization Strategy The Market Intelligence Team within Microsoft Advertising is responsible for generating competitive, and market insights to shape a world class ad monetization engine for Microsoft and our partner publishers. We work with all groups driving monetization improvements including engineering, customer-service operations, advertising sales, marketing, and product management to enable rigorous, effective, and data-driven decision making. If you are a critical thinker who is eager to transform the digital advertising industry, excels at framing complex problems, this is the role for you. We are currently seeking an experienced Business planner who will assess external market and economic conditions and will recommend strategic priorities and investments that will enhance Microsoft's competitive value proposition. Collect, analyze, and present financial, operational, and other data that provides competitive insights Forecast and analyze economic and digital advertising market spend trends, including new business categories and competitors Analyze key industry categories to assess revenue potential to influence decision on where the business invests resources Build strong, detailed business models for key product and business opportunities that will drive both immediate and long-term business results Analyze partnership or M and A opportunities by conducting due diligence and building pro-forma financial
5-7 years of experience in one or more of the following: strategy/management consulting, business planning, financial modeling, economics, market research, Media/Advertising Strong finance background with demonstrated performance in creation/execution of financial and business models and ability to quickly understand complex data sets Understanding and interest in e-commerce and online advertising preferred Superior communications skills, both verbal and written and ability to engage with business partners and executives to drive key decisions.
