Are you excited about exploring new ideas and data sets? Are you Passionate about Information Security and protecting our Customer data? Amazon’s Security Operation Center is looking for innovative, creative, and experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Emerging Programs Team and work across several key initiatives. A BIE in this role will be able to apply their skills to develop and evaluate new and existing KPIs to help measure our approach to current and future security problems. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to leverage the data to drive change and contribute to improving Amazon’s Information Security. You will join a team of talented and energetic professionals responsible for researching, identifying, and creating new ways of applying data science and automation for security relevant detections across Amazon and its subsidiaries and creating useful and actionable reporting of these findings. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical
· Bachelor’s degree in math, finance, engineering, statistics, or related discipline is required · Impeccable attention to detail and ability to check own work · Proven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases · Fluency in Python or a similar modeling language, and proficiency in SQL · 5+ years in the analysis space as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar roles · Experience using Python, Ruby, or other scripting languages to automate data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis·
