Shopping Experience team Business Intelligence Engineer

We are looking for a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Shopping Experience team for Amazon’s rapidly growing grocery services including Amazon Fresh and Prime Now. In this role you will work closely with product managers and engineering leaders to derive quantitative insights about how customers navigate our products, identify opportunities for improvement, and shape strategic recommendations. A successful candidate will have excellent statistical and analytical abilities, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions, and have the ability to work with technology, product development, and business teams. They will have passion for data and analytics, be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment,
- Bachelor’s degree in math, finance, engineering, statistics, or related discipline is required. - 5+ years hands on analytics work experience with proven quantitative orientation. - Proven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases. - Fluency in R, Python or a similar modeling language, and proficiency in SQL - Strong skills in Excel as well as other data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, QuickSight, etc. - Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively
