The Data Insights Group owns and operates a data warehouse that combines data from multiple source systems. We serve a large group of business analysts, leaders and other users who rely on the data for reporting and dashboards. We provide access to the data through AWS tools like EDX, Andes, and QuickSight. We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to define data models, metrics and data sets that can be the foundation of reports and dashboards throughout the organization. You will own and lead the development of data models, work with stakeholders to create common definitions and expose data, reports and dashboards in a way that allows users easy access without exposing restricted data. You will be the point of contact for supporting the users in understanding the data and how to use the data. We expect you to use your knowledge from BI tools to create intuitive and informative reports and dashboards that build on the common metrics. You will work with the data engineers to build
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience · · 5+ years of experience as a business intelligence or data engineer working with large datasets · Understanding of how to model data to optimize report and dashboard creation. · Experience with large scale distributed systems · · Understanding of Big Data technologies and solutions · · Experience with Amazon Web Services · Experience with Hadoop ecosystem · Ability to deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.
