Amazon Web Services seeks an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join the AWS Analytics team to support metrics and data visuals for the Executive Briefing Program (EBC). In this role you'll own everything from data modeling, cluster management, QuickSight implementation, ETL automation, ad-hoc reporting, and long term analytical and statistical projects that will affect the effectiveness of the EBC team. You'll work with multiple AWS Businesses and Functions, and work with multiple sources and a wide range of data technologies (e.g. Redshift, S3, and Quicksight etc.), stay abreast of emerging technologies, investigating and implementing where appropriate. Duties and responsibilities for this role will include: · Owning the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. · Developing QuickSight expertise across various business teams, to drive adoption and increase visibility into key measures
· BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or related field. · 3+ years’ experience as a BIE, data scientist, data engineer or similar job function with a technology company. · Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing. · Advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Quicksight, Tableau or similar BI tools. · Understating of SalesForce Object models · Working knowledge of Python/Java or similar coding languages. · Experience working in a very large data warehouse environment and multi data sources.
