We are looking for a talented Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer who is passionate about using data to drive crucial business decisions for sports content in Prime Video. The Sports Team within Prime Video brings selection of live sports content to Amazon customers around the world. Among other exciting events, we have streamed NFL Thursday Night Football for all Prime members, offered NBA League Pass through Prime Video Channels, sold UFC Pay Per View events, and this Winter we will launch our exclusive EPL package in the UK. This role will focus on building world class processes around designing, collecting, organizing, and presenting data to analyze our video traffic, customer behavior, and feature performance. As a BI Engineer working on the analytics platform, you will be developing and supporting the analytic technologies to give our internal customers flexible and structured access to data that is timely, accurate, and actionable. A successful candidate knows and loves working with
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related discipline · 3+ years of relevant experience in analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, or related field · Experience using, writing, and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment · Experience with gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting · Proven ability to identify solutions in unconventional ways; innovate and simplify processes · Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills · Self-starter who is customer obsessed, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic
