Amazon seeks a results-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer to identify strategic initiatives that will inform the direction of the Amazon FreeTime product. Amazon FreeTime brings together all types of content that kids and parents love including books, games, Audible books, educational apps, and videos. It provides peace of mind for parents with parental controls and a world of fun for kids to choose from thousands of the most popular titles and age-appropriate content. Here's more information: http://www.amazon.com/freetime Successful candidates will be comfortable pulling and visualizing data, identifying KPIs that drive the business, generating reports for and bridging meaningful changes in KPIs that are consumed across the FreeTime organization, analyzing data to inform strategic and tactical initiatives, and writing up the findings from analyses for less-technical audiences. Strong SQL (any implementation) is a must. Scripting skills and familiarity with at least one statistics

· Strong SQL skills, including table creation and query tuning. · 2+ years working directly with data in a business environment. · Experience designing and evaluating experiments · Experience visualizing data and creating self-service tools and/or reports for business users · Experience with Amazon Redshift · e-Commerce or subscription business work experience · Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python) · Proficient in applying introductory statistical concepts to business problems
