Amazon's Backbone Network Development (BND) organization is responsible for designing, negotiating and procuring network capacity serving Amazon and our customers across the globe. BND supports our global private backbone, Cloudfront, Direct Connect and multiple other internal Amazon entities. We work to solve both near term and long term strategic objectives, providing solutions that incorporate metro, longhaul and submarine components. We are seeking an experienced business analyst to support GND in two primary functions: strategic planning and business reporting. In the strategic planning function, you will work with the business owners across the team to translate long term strategy into tangible financial objectives. You will be responsible for modelling various business outcomes and creating tools that facilitate commercial modelling by our strategic negotiators. · Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field · 3+ years of experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role · 2+ years of experience conducting analysis and data mining using Excel · Proficient extracting and processing data using SQL · Experience in data visualization platforms · MBA degree or equivalent 5+ years of experience in analytics · project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, and task delegation. · Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools. · Ability to learn new
