Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. As part of Lab126, the Pre-Owned Business team is in charge of the resale of all pre-owned Amazon first party devices. The team also manages the Amazon Devices Trade-In program, decreasing customer friction to purchasing new devices by offering value for their existing consumer electronic devices. The Business Analyst role is specific to the Pre-Owned Business team, working on both Amazon Device Pre-Owned Sales and the Trade-In program. The role will give the candidate the opportunity to work across all product lines and device generations, focusing on using analytics to help the team make optimal decisions on behalf of our customers. - BA/BS degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business, or related field - 3+ years of professional experience in a Business Analyst or comparable analytics role - Experience reporting (verbally and written) data findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, using hard data to back up assumptions and develop business cases - Advanced working knowledge of SQL and Excel, basic fluency of VBA - Ability to build financial models and apply basic statistical techniques (i.e. hypothesis testing, regression modeling). - Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate
