The Economic Trends and Insights (YETI) team is building and scaling an Automated Insights tool to spread data science across the Finance organization and turn Big Data into big business insights. Products include unsupervised and supervised anomaly detection, dynamic growth decomposition, automated attribution models, extreme weather impact models, and user tools to unlock the power of data for both technical and non-technical users within Finance. As the lead Big Data Engineer for the Automated Insights team, you will own and build the big data infrastructure that serves as the driver of our analytics engine. You will partner closely with Software Developers, Senior Data Scientists, and Economists to understand the data needs of our users and convert them into a data architecture that will scale over time. You may have
· BS in Computer Science, Math or Physics · 5+ years relevant work experience in software development · Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles · Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing · Demonstrated experience in relational database concepts with an expert knowledge of SQL · Demonstrated ability in data modeling, schema design, ETL development, and Data warehousing· Master’s/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields · Academic and/or industry experience with one or more of the following domains: Big Data,
