Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance BI team is seeking a strong Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) who is highly analytical, data driven and detail oriented. The BI Engineer will analyze large amounts of data, discover and solve real world problems, build metrics, business cases, documentation and standard reports around key Finance initiatives. The successful candidate will be hands on, have an extremely high level of customer focus, passion for process improvement, and demonstrate the ability to execute the required skills, influence, educate, and drive results in a fast paced, ambiguous environment. The BI Engineer will be part of a smaller BI team tat will support the AWS Infrastructure Finance team through the development and maintenance of ongoing reports, ad hoc data retrieval, and analysis of the business processes. This is a new team and will have alot of opportunity for inventing new solutions. The candidate will be able to stretch their skills in Business Intelligence skills
· 3 – 5 years of experience of hands on BI Engineering is required. Experience in the supply chain or finance is desired. · Strong Analytical skills – ability to ask the right questions, exceptional problem solving, and relate, deep dive and analyze data to draw business conclusions with right assumptions · Technical Skills – Working knowledge of data mining using SQL, ETL, data warehouse as well as Excel. · Python Scripting for data retrieval and process automation. · Experience in statistical modeling, financial modeling/analysis and data mining is useful. · Communication skills – ability to
