The AWS SDKs and Tools team at Amazon.com is looking for a passionate and innovative Developer Support Manager to build a new team focusing on helping AWS customers resolve development questions over GitHub and StackOverflow. We own the AWS SDKs for Python, Java, .NET, Ruby, Go, Javascript, PHP and C++. We also own the AWS CLI, Tools for Windows PowerShell, AWS Toolkits for Visual Studio and Eclipse, and a number of smaller open source projects. Developers around the world depend on these tools to build applications which leverage the power of the AWS cloud. We're looking for a manager who's passionate about helping developers succeed, has extremely strong development skills, experience in Open Source software, and is excited to own a high-quality support team in a fast moving, agile environment. In this position, you'll be at the heart of AWS, frequently collaborating with AWS service and platform teams as well as internal customers from all over Amazon. You'll have the opportunity to
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience · 5+ years of experience as a software engineer · 5+ years of experience managing support engineers · Experience with at least one of these programming languages: Java, C#, C++, Python, Ruby, Javascript, PHP, Go · Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and experience resolving sensitive customer issues· 7+ years of people management experience
