(OLC) Investigations Team Litigation, Competition and
Microsoft's Litigation, Competition and Compliance Group (LCCG) has an immediate opening for an experienced attorney to join their Office of Legal Compliance (OLC) Investigations Team. The person in this position will assist in Microsoft's continuing commitment to comply with laws, regulations and policies governing its business, finance, and accounting activities globally. As part of OLC's Investigations Team, this person will provide oversight of, and hands-on direction and advice in, the internal investigations process, conduct internal investigations and provide advice on compliance issues and programs. Responsibilities also include serving as an advisor to various compliance committees, participation in the provision of counseling and training to Microsoft employees, and assisting in the preparation and delivery of reports on compliance investigations and programs. The successful candidate will possess the following: Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and interviewing skills. Outstanding analytical and writing ability. Strong drive and enthusiasm, and the capacity to work under pressure. Firm understanding of relevant compliance rules and requirements, including the laws and regulations governing U.S. companies doing business in non-U.S. locations, as well as an appreciation of pertinent accounting and finance principles. Strong grasp of employment, privacy, and other requirements relating to internal investigations. Prior experience dealing
J.D. or equivalent law degree and experience in the field. 5+ years of work experience in investigations or compliance Familiarity and experience in dealing with compliance and/or internal investigations in a multi-national company or other large complex organization. Ability to apply sound, principled, and consistent judgment in a fast-moving and challenging legal and business environment. Ability to analyze complex financial, business, and legal issues and communicate them in a clear and concise fashion.
