Microsoft's Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) has an immediate opening for an attorney to join the Enterprise Legal team, which partners with Microsoft that drive the sales strategy for the Microsoft cloud, Artificial Intelligence and cutting edge Microsoft technologies. This position is located in Redmond, WA and will work with customers, partners, and Microsoft professionals around the globe.
Draft, negotiate and advise business clients on complex cloud computing deals, artificial intelligence, and solutions with major commercial customers and partners globally. Provide strategic advice on newly emerging Information Technology business models including Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Transformation Provide strategic advice and guidance on rapidly changing privacy and security regulatory issues impacting Microsoft products and services, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Minimum Qualifications Law degree (JD, LLB or equivalent) from accredited US law school with excellent academic credentials. Admission to the state bar of at least one U.S. state. At least three years of experience as a commercial and/or technology lawyer in-house and/or at a law firm with experience in technology and intellectual property. Ideal experience Experience in negotiating information technology agreements. Experience advising on data protection issues, privacy laws, and intellectual property. Understanding of cloud software security issues and compliance. International legal experience
