It’s still day one for cloud computing at Amazon Web Services (AWS). We provide developers and their organizations with the building blocks necessary for designing highly robust and scalable web services that help them innovate faster and operate their infrastructure in a cost-effective manner. These services range from structured storage, content delivery to on-demand compute capacity and more. AWS IAM Intelligence team uses cutting edge technology to process huge quantity of data in order to learn relevant security insights from authentication and authorization patterns. These are used to build products and features that help AWS customers improve their security posture without having to be security experts. As an Applied Scientist in the Intelligence team you will work with petabytes of data to build machine learning models that produce signal feedback which customers can use to flexibly adjust their security controls. You will enable customers to follow the best security practices without

· CS Degree, Statistics degree, or equivalent experience in a highly quantitative field · 5+ years’ of experience working in practical applications of mathematical modeling or machine learning · Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, or Scala · Proficiency in, at least, one modern scripting language such as Python · Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc. · Strong skills and experience with programming in SQL, Hive, Pig, and familiarity/experience with AWS.· A strong track record (8+ years) of innovating
