The Amazon Business Selection Classification and Catalog Quality team is seeking an Applied Scientist for developing ML techniques that can help with applying industry classification to Amazon products into our catalog and also build new ways to improve our catalog content. § PhD in Computer Science (Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or equivalent); § 4+ years of practical experience applying ML to solve complex problems; § Experience using Java, C++, or other programming language, as well as with R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting language; § Experience distilling informal customer requirements into problem definitions, dealing with ambiguity and competing objectives § Experience delivering systems into production with high precision. § Strong fundamentals in problem solving, algorithm design and complexity analysis§ More than 4 years of industrial/academic experience
