The AWS Perimeter Protection (also known as anti-DDoS) team is responsible for combating threats from the Internet against Amazon and its customers. We develop systems to monitor and defend one of the largest, distributed networks in the world. Our tools detect, diagnose DDoS attacks and respond to security threats in real-time, ensuring the fastest possible response to threats aimed at AWS infrastructure and applications. We are highly customer centric and work closely with them to develop new features that serve their needs. Basic Qualifications · 10+ years of professional experience in software development · 5+ years of experience managing an Agile team of 10+ software development engineers · Experience building scalable distributed systems with service oriented architectures · Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, e.g. Java, C, C++, Python · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent in relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications · 5+ years experience leading multiple, interdisciplinary teams, including technical leads, software engineers, devops engineers and
