The Microsoft News team plays a crucial role in delivering users around the world quality news journalism from trusted sources across diverse perspectives. We expose news on a variety of platforms, including on msn.com, Xbox, edge start page, browser extensions, phone apps, desktop apps, and others. Personalization, both implicit and explicit, further refine the experience. We leverage experimentation (a-b testing) to hone our implementations and decision making. We work extensively with tech and media partners inside and outside of Microsoft to provide our solutions. Our business is healthy and growing. We have so much opportunity ahead! We're looking for another developer to join our fun team to make new ideas a reality.

We need an experienced, productive, and growing developer to come join our team. You will be responsible for owning features end-to-end from architecture, partner interaction, coding, performance analysis, validation and monitoring. Our work requires relentless focus on quality, performance, availability and growth. Our existing web stack is built on Azure, c#, ASP.NET MVC, microservices, and JavaScript. We are in the process of migrating to React + Redux. Familiarity with both stacks is a plus.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent • 4+ years of experience in software development • Experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to rapid production deployment • Multiple shipped software products Preferred Qualifications: • Strong partnership, communication and coordination skills • Solid unit testing skills • Strong computational problem-solving skills, ability to deal with ambiguity, and high level of creativity and inquisitiveness • Deep experience with React and Typescript • C#, .Net, ASP.Net MVC, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5 , Azure • Experience in implementing
