Are you interested in shaping the future of computer vision? Do you want to define the next generation Artificial Intelligence that can understand and analyze images and documents? Do you want to build customer-facing solutions leveraging deep learning and other ML technologies? The Amazon Web Services (AWS) team is seeking an innovative and results-oriented Software Development Engineer for our recently announced Amazon Textract service. Amazon Textract (https://aws.amazon.com/textract/) provides deep learning-based image and document analysis capabilities and makes it easy to quickly and accurately extract data from documents and forms. Amazon Textract goes beyond simple optical character recognition (OCR) to also identify the contents of fields in forms and information stored in tables. Amazon Textract automatically detects a document’s layout and the key elements on the page, understands the data relationships in any embedded forms or tables, and extracts everything with its context
· 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience · Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design · 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. · Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field · Domain knowledge of Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning · 2+ years working in a software as a service environment (e-commerce or other high scale services) · Experience with working on AWS services
