Role and Opportunity: Microsoft Devices team is looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer II with the intellectual horsepower and experience to provide solutions to ambiguous problems. You will be responsible for delivering OS Images that brings all Devices (including Surface) to life, and the tools and automation to make the process efficient and more reliable. You will need to understand requirements across all Device teams, define standards, processes and deliver tools and automation solutions to successfully meet those requirements. Qualifications: BS or equivalent in Computer Science or other Engineering field Minimum of 6 years of experience in Software Engineering field Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Developer (using C++ / C# is desirable) Solid experience in developing automation solutions (using PowerShell is a plus) Experienced with at least two end to end product cycles as a developer for medium to large scale product Experience with Windows Deployment and Imaging Tools (ADK, DISM etc.) is preferred but not required Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills Advanced oral and written communication
