The Kindle Content Design Studio creates the full breadth of solutions that power the world’s biggest and most loved digital reading products. This includes everything from the tools and services that authors and publishers use to make their books, the discovery and shopping experiences our customers use to find their next great read, and the apps and e-readers used for reading across the globe. We strive to meet the needs of authors and readers of every kind of book, magazine, comic, and educational material. To help us delight our customers, we are seeking a talented, creative, and customer-obsessed Senior UX Researcher to join the Studio at our downtown Seattle, WA location, reporting in to our Head of Research. What you will do In this role you will be responsible for helping shape and execute Kindle’s research strategy, working closely with partners to understand the largest challenges and opportunities we face. You are highly collaborative, with a strong record of influencing outcomes

· 5-8 years of proven success conducting user research in a growing software development setting, or equivalent. · A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g.: study plans, reports, and data visualizations). · Masters in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human-Centered Design, or similar. · Experience operating as an individual contributor in a user research role.· Experience from working in a fast paced software development environment within a highly entrepreneurial organization. · Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with users of
