The Builder Tools team at Amazon is responsible for both internal and external (AWS) developer tools. We enable our customers to manage their end-to-end software release process (CI/CD), including going from source code check-in, to building those changes, to testing those changes, to deploying those changes, and tracking issues through our ticketing and issue management systems. We own several dozen of the mission-critical internal systems that make Amazon run. The Builder Tools org is looking for an engineering leader to own our Continuous Deployment tool used by all engineers at Amazon. You will own the platform that enables Amazon engineers to deliver nearly every software related features our customers enjoy. Successful candidates will be passionate about developer tools and have years of experience leading orgs with enterprise-wide impact. · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) · Hands-on software development experience with large-scale Internet-facing systems · Experience managing a team of software development managers and senior engineers · Knowledge of full life-cycle software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, software configuration management, and operations · Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences · Comfortable handling multiple challenging
